What happened!?

I sat down to do the quick upgrade to WordPress 2.7 and quickly got sucked into browsing around plugins and themes. I’m in the midst of upgrading and reconfiguring quite a lot around here, so if things seem a bit wonky I hope to get them back on track shortly. At least this bad weather is good for something – if I can’t go for a hike in this cold and rain I might as well be productive here.

Update Sunday night: New WordPress version, new theme, and it should all be intergrated with my photos as well. Yaay!  I’m still tweaking and fixing problems that are popping up, but it’s just as stable as my last somewhat unfinished theme, so I’m happy. My todo list is still a mile long, but it always is…

Looks good, cheers. Testing the comment section :-) I was planning on setting up my own server, too. So I’d be interested in seeing which plugin you’re going to be using for photography. Following up on twitter.

@Emré: Thanks! :) I’m using Zenphoto as my gallery (zenphoto.org). If you have a little bit of php/css knowledge it is pretty easy to wrap it with the theme you’re using in WordPress. There is also a plugin that helps you easily add photos from a zenphoto gallery in WordPress posts.

There are a couple of things that don’t integrate really well and I’m hoping to hack a workaround when I have the time. (if you go to my gallery, http://www.calipidder.com/zenphoto/, you’ll see a separate search box – that’s the kind of stuff I need to integrate)

@moya: yeah, I have a few different images in my banner directory and it auto rotates them. I need to fix it a bit so that they’re smaller though – takes too much time to load. :(

Nice theme change. I saw your site a while back for fellow geocachers. Then I realized I set my theme up the same as your old one (Amazing Grace!).
Thanks for the tip on ZenGallery too – looks good to get lots of photos in.
I do have a question on what plugin you are using for the Goggle ads? I like how it integrates smoothly into the posts as well as in the sidebar but it’s also not too much.
